Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office

Recently, the Director of Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office, SteveBarclay, signed a sponsorship agreement with the president of the InternationalChinese Film Festival, Lanwei Gong, at Hong Kong House in Sydney. During the2012 International Chinese Film Festival, the Hong Kong Film exhibition unit will beestablished, with more than three of the latest Hong Kong films to be introduced.

Steve Barclay says “Chinese is the second most spoken language in Australia;therefore introducing Chinese Films to Australian audiences is an important step. Weare honoured to be able to help and support this event.”

The 2012 International Chinese Film Festival will be held during Chinese moonfestival between 15-22 September at Event Cinemas, George Street in Sydney, andfrom 30th September to 7th October in Melbourne. There will be 20 films from bothMainland China and Hong Kong participating for film exhibition and competition.Providing Australian Chinese with a rich cultural feast during the moon festival.
